I took this cruise to be with friends who had children, and I think that it was great for meeting that objective. I saw lots of families and young friends together and I think the ship is greet for that purpose, but older folks or older couples might not enjoy it.

The big downside for me was the level of service. The waitstaff and cabin stewards did great, but if you needed something from guest services they were not helpful or friendly. Luggage was very late and misplaces the first day. My friend ran out of her carry on diapers after dinner and her luggage with more diapers was lost, but they only wanted to sell her a bag of diapers for $40 as an alternative. She also had the misfortune of having pressed laundry take so long that on formal night there were no pants or shirts for her sons or husband.

Cabins looked nice, but the ship is already showing some issues. The AC was variable, on our last night, I had it cranked all the way and still roasted (and we had no window that could have been open). My friend had her toilet overflow in her suite on the first day, and with minimal liquid and toilet paper in the bowl. Floors remained wet most of the day as dripping children that were allowed to roam around made the elevators and some floors a slippery mess.

Cabin Review

Central Park View Stateroom

Cabin CV

I loved the view of Central Park, and the couch by the window was nice for reading.

Do not pick this room if you are not an early riser. The cafe is just below you and as on as it opens for breakfast in the morning (730 or 630 on disembarkation day), the music fills your room- mostly an annoying base beat). In the evening there is classical music either live or recorded outside, but it never was late or very loud.

So, choose this room type, but not this particular room.
