Going into this cruise we knew that it was European clientele & staff. That said, I've sailed many European lines and the service on this ship was, to put it simply, horrific! 4000+ passengers and one single line to check in. No wait staff in bars/lounges at night, or simply one to serve everyone. Beware of "free" beverage vouchers with Fantastica package. Vouchers only good for drinks up to $7.50. Our lounge of choice, La Luna, had no drinks available at that price. To use voucher we needed to go to bar elsewhere on ship, purchase our drink, and bring it back to La Luna. Not sure how many lounges this held true as only had 3 nights and only went to La Luna and Pantheon Theater. Theater, also, had no wait staff prior to show and nowhere to place a drink if you did bring your own into the theater. Unlike other cruise lines, MSC did not certify our credit cards at check in. We received notice that we needed to do that ourselves at kiosks on ships by a deadline or would be required to settle our bill by cash. The kiosk we first used had been "reset" by an MSC staff member who reprimanded us for using it. Nothing stated "out of order" or "in use" and we had NO way of knowing this. Very confusing system.Don't even start me on dining room staff. Felt like I was in fast food restaurant and treated basically the same as any McDonald's client! Food was same thing everynight; meat with gravy and little to no vegetables or sides. Never once offered coffee; had to beg for a glass of wine. Terrible! That said, ship itself is beautiful, cabins well appointed and our room steward (who we never met) did a good job.

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Cabin I2

Rooms had plenty of storage. Beds comfortable. Small bathroom, but usable.

Port Reviews

Miami

Worst embarkation process ever. Stood outside in line in heat for more than an hour. Very slow; single line for all passengers.

Freeport

Pre-arranged on our own to spend day at a resort with use of all facilities. Taxi's outside cruise terminal were pushy and required you to ride with multiple other passengers. Dropped us off at a central location; in middle of shopping (of course!), and quite a walk from our destination. Had to walk back to that same drop point to use the return vouchers that had been issued to us. Found out later we could have paid one-way & taken return directly from resort.

Nassau

Once again, pre-arranged our own day at resort on Paradise Island. Taxis not metered; price was exactly as quoted; drivers good.
