This was our family's first cruise, and we were highly satisfied with most elements of the experience. 4 night cruise to Caribbean (Miami, Nassau, Coco Cay, Key West). Overall, it was very enjoyable, the staff were great, especially at dinner.

I felt there was plenty to do on the ship, my son was never bored, which is saying a lot. He used the rock wall many times, and did the bungee bounce thing. I never found the pools to be intolerably busy, it seems most people in the pool area were sunbathing, not swimming. In the evening there were stage shows, game shows, music and dancing in bars, or movies on the pool deck.

Ports of call - thankfully i booked an excursion at Nassau, because the port itself was not enjoyable, just a row of shops and flea market-style vendors, or taxis, trying to sell you their goods / services. Walking the street saying ' No, no thanks. Not interested' for the first 20 minutes isn't fun. We did the dolphin encounter on Blue Lagoon island, which was great fun. Jet ski tour on Coco Cay, along with some free snorkeling around the rocky parts of the beach, was a good time. Key West...good if you have never been there. We had, so we didn't do much but go to a favorite little food spot.

Cabin Review

Panoramic Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin F

Kids thought the pull down ceiling beds were cool, and the window was an actual window, not a port-hole. It was far from many activities, but not too bad for main dining room. Elevators or stairs required for everything, and elevators are usually packed and take a long time.

Port Reviews

Key West

We stayed in Key West for a week last year and are familiar with the area so this time we just ate and shopped, and went back to the ship early. It is possible to book excursions without going through the cruise line. Fury snorkeling and wave runner tours are accessible, but should be reserved ahead of time, whether through the ship or independently. We did the jet ski tour last year and it was fun. The 'all-in-one' excursions with jet ski, snorkeling, and parasailing aren't worth the money, not enough time for each, and the locations not anything special. Plenty of interesting history to explore if you like that kind of thing.
