I spent several months planning for this trip and overall I made the best of it. I spent quality time with my family and that was more important than the ship and surroundings.
But since I was asked for my opinion, i give it. First I'll tell you what I loved. Stirrup Cay, Bahamas was a beautiful place and a wonderful experience. I would go there everyday if I could, to renew my soul... Love it! Amazing! Everything about it was great..Food, Accommodations, the view, the water, just perfect.
Now the worst part, "EMBARKATION"- Please get it together...make it simple..1 line for every hour time slot, late comers still get on their line and wait their turn, that's the norm. It was CHAOS to get on and CHAOS to get off..not good. Please get it together..The public bathrooms on the ship were disgusting, they were not cleaned or checked often enough. The food was acceptable but restaurants were overcrowded..get your food and try to find a table..oops! no table. The excursions to Cuba are over-priced considering we went to a cigar factory and a cemetery. The Tropicana is a once in a lifetime experience in Cuba, but make your own reservation it's 100.00 cheaper and it includes a dinner. You may even get to sit with your family. Our family was separated and we didn't get to share the experience together. We were hustled in and people just sat wherever, it sounds really bad because it was. It's too bad because the simplest of changes could make this ship and the trip an amazing vacation. The service and courtesy by every member was a 10, they were wonderful.
The cabin had a terrible order, it smelled like a dirty urinal. I asked 2 people to look into this and nothing was done about it. Since I had to sleep in the cabin and no other accommodations were offered I slept with my face covered all night to smother the odor.
I think the sofa/couch in the was urinated on and the smell permeated the room. But the room
I love this stop, it's beautiful..and everything about is great.
