So many cruise ships so many destinations but our first try at cruising was a great experience. We chose the Norwegian Fijords and we weren't disappointed. The transition from car to ship was seamless, well done Southampton and once onboard we weren't disappointed. Granted being our first cruise we have nothing to compare it to but I can only give our opinion of this holiday. Britannia is an impressive ship and you would never have know that so many people were aboard.Very pleasantly surprised with our cabin we chose a balcony room and this was a good choice as we would have missed so much fabulous scenery. The ship was always very clean and tidy with good hygiene practices in place and the décor and furnishings were lovely. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the food lovely, my only gripe was the buffet could really do with being one way but it certainly didn't spoil anything, just a comment. All in all a great experience.

Cabin Review

Cabin HAbalcony grade

pleasantly surprised at the size of the cabin and the amount of storage, had everything we needed. Looked after well by our cabin steward Lawrence.

Port Reviews

Stavanger

wandered around pretty Stavanger on our own admiring the wooden houses.

Olden

an organised visit to one of the glaciers followed by a cruise. My favourite excursion as I loved seeing the glacier, not much walking involved with a fairly level terrain, then coach to get on a small boat for a cruise. Lovely day.

Alesund

we did take a little road train up the mountain which was easy and informative with great views.
