We sailed the Sun from Vancouver to Seward in July: two parents, two teens. We had two inside staterooms, which were surprisingly roomy with great storage. The ship is dated in décor but very well maintained. Throughout our cruise, all staff were gracious, service-oriented, friendly and welcoming. We were really impressed by this--it made every interaction positive. We ate most breakfasts and lunches at the buffet; most dinners in one of the MDRs. The food was better than we expected with lots of options. We ate once in Moderno (Brazilian steak house)--food was good, service was great; we ate twice in the sushi bar Ginza--food was great, so was service and price. Lots of space on board: small ship but never felt overcrowded. Embarkation was okay; disembarkation was a dream, super smooth and fast. Don't really have anything negative to say about the cruise. Outstanding value for the price--would recommend!
