Wanted a multi-generational ship. What we got was a cruise without an identity. Ship is too large for a staff that is not well trained. Crew was polite enough, efficient to the point of being mechanical. Most were not very knowledgeable about anything but MSC talking points. Robots could have been programmed to at least have some personality and be able to tell you something about ports of call. Our crew in the YC area was good, but you better not leave that area. Pool bar area could have been better taken care of by servers. You had to ask someone to wipe tables in the covered dining areas sometimes.. Usually came up to see cup circles on table tops. Bar only had one blender, which did not seem enough, since most folks ordered blended drinks and had to wait too long if lots of folks were up there. Our cabin was loud and had dirty carpet, for a ship that was so well taken care of I never took my shoes off as the carpet was dirty and worn looking. Couch also had mystery stains. A few other things were spotty as well.

While YC is very nice, it's not white glove..Dining was so far away and seating was very tight, we hardly went, as I like to brush teeth after meals and thought dressing up and walking thru the whole ship was a bit much. I felt overdressed after the first day and toned it down..Many passengers were rude and the kids were up far too late and in the wrong places, and while the crew was efficient, the only place I say anyone enforcing the rules was by ushering people out of the Yacht Club area, where we were staying. I like to dance and thought the DJ in the teen club was far better than the dj in the adult disco. Adults would step into the teen club first because of music, only to see kids having a good time. Please take the fellow who speaks with such a thick accent off the mic in the black and white lounge!!!!! Even though he was speaking English, we think, we never knew what he was saying...really not an American thing, even the English couple and the Spanish couple sitting with us struggled to comprehend what the heck he was saying!!!!

Our room size was great, location of our room was horrible, room 16027 under the pool area. Not one day of undisturbed sleep. I got tired of calling the front (concierge) desk. The 1:30AM scuttling was what sealed the deal, to make me say never again...we got two 30 minutes spa passes..for all of the noise on a 7 day cruise... The ship is very well maintained by the crew, this is the best bit about the ship..
