We chose this cruise line to do something different. We have been on Norwegian, Royal C., Celebrity and Carnival. We booked at the Boston Travel Show in February and it seemed like a good deal at the time. There were some good things about the ship: The main staircase was to die for, most of the decor was elegant, the room overall was spacious and the balcony was very nice. The crew was was friendly and attentive but some had a hard time with English. I do not consider this a big deal, that is, until you have an issue and cannot convey your problem so it can be remedied.

The issues with the ship: the buffet- the food was fine but the space was poorly organized, not enough seating- not even close, you felt like you were in a school cafeteria on pizza day- crowded and lines were horrific and I ate almost every meal here cold as we could not find seating. The main dining room was also crowded, too many seats for the tables and too close together. We kept getting bumped every time the waiter walked by. The specialty restaurant- where to begin- you pay additional money for this but it looked like a cheap diner- the food was great but plastic chairs made for children, fake cheap wood tables and a view of the life boats- don't bother. On every single other cruise line we have been on the specialty restaurants were always premium as the food was better, the decor was fancier and usually has one of the best views, so disappointed. As for the cabins- only really one complaint- the bathroom- why would you put a mounted toilet bowl brush right next to the seat of the toilet so every time you need to go, you get hit with the brush handle? There was room to put it behind the seat- come on folks- common sense people.

The shows were sub-par at best. The first night was okay but the rest of the nights, we saw the same dances/tricks/acrobats do almost identical stuff to different music. I am not a fan of opera so the opera night was not my cup of tea but admittedly, they had beautiful voices. The last night was the best as it was a Michael Jackson Tribute and it was high energy and fun.

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B1

Spacious room for a cruise ship but the toilet brush sticking into you every time you had to go was VERY annoying!!!! The shower was very tight but workable.

Port Reviews

Miami

did not do anything in Miami except go to and from the airport to the boat. the cab fare was only $27 each way so it is much cheaper than the transfers.
