Sail Date: Jul 2017

My family wanted to go to Cuba, I had been there before on a sailboat years ago, a couple times. If anyone would like to go, this cruise ship would be perfect. Tampa, was a great place to depart and return, with smooth embarkation and disembarkation. I would sail out of that port anytime. The cabin was a junior suite, the bed was comfy, the food, and staff were excellent. Nightly entertainment was superb, especially for such a small ship. Had a little trouble in the head with toilet bowl sucking up the water and making loud noise with the air, filled the bowl with water several times to no avail, made a phone call and it was fixed within 10 minutes! Kudos to staff, all around, running the ship operations! I think most people on the cruise were there to experience Cuba, not my case. I wanted to get back on the water and enjoy time at sea, this vessel hit the marks! My slight negative was the onboard activities running late at each venue I attended during the day, no biggie. My real disappointment was they only had Bingo one time, the last day at sea, 3 games with prize money for the first two and for the grand prize, win a cruise on Royal Caribbean. I was so surprised to win the Royal Caribbean cruise Bingo game! Stayed behind as instructed for the details. (we had dinner reservations at Chops at 6pm) Excited to win and when the activity assistant gave me the certificate, explaining the details, I was disappointed. The certificate was for two person, inside cabin, up to $625, 4-6 day cruise, non transferrable, to be used within one year of this sail date, and many black out dates. Just to get the reaction of friends, clients and co-workers the past couple days when I tell them I won a cruise, they are utterly excited, then when I tell them what, they are deflated and say "that's it". Living in Florida, all of us have gotten the call, you have won a cruise for two to the Bahamas, click. I wish I had won some actual money to put towards my next cruise fund, with Royal Caribbean. That is really sub par in my opinion, for your cruise line. Just a sour taste after a great paid for experience.

Port Reviews

Havana

good to take bus if you want on the beaten track

Too many cat calls to go into shops, take a taxi to tacos and tequilas, nice outdoor fresh breeze and food
