We were initially looking for a trip to Bermuda when we found this cruise and it seemed to be heads and tails above what we were looking for. To be in Canada (Halifax) for Canada Day 150 and Boston for the U.S. Independence Day (241) just seemed like a great experience to be had and we were not disappointed. We are Diamond members with RCL so we were automatically Elite members on Celebrity. Although there were some minor issues, the overall trip was outstanding.
Our cabin was clean and comfortable. We read reviews that were less than favorable prior to the trip but we have absolutely no complaints. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom as well as the cabin were clean, thanks to our wonderful room attendant, Annie, who was a 15 on a scale of 1-10. The shower was hot and more spacious (although still small) that a comparable cabin on RCL. The water pressure was also good.
The food in the Oceanview Café was good but the organization was not as good as RCL. Some areas were open and others closed but you had to walk the entire area to find out which was which. There were some stations that had long lines as well. We had breakfast in the Oceanview most mornings. The eggs were hot and good but avoid the chicken sausage. I tried it to be heathier but switched back to the pork right away after sampling it. I'm a grits fan and I was thrilled to see that they were on the menu, but the consistency can be improved as they were a bit runny each morning.
Nice. Clean and comfortable. Two beds were put together to make one but it was not an issue as it was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the shower was a little larger in size than what we would have in a similar room on RCL. The water pressue was good but not great but no complaints. We were very comfortable and can't say enough about Annie, our room attendant.
