This was a very short cruise, which MSC also did last year. Last year, I felt that MSC was very up-and-down. Some aspects were very good (the Yacht Club, the personal service of the butlers and other employees), but unfortunately, they definitely needed to improve in others (there was a definite upgrade needed in the food, for example.)
They definitely improved in virtually every area ... this is definitely a cruise line that is upgrading all over the place. Now, this is still definitely European - and that is part of Divina's charm. Announcements are still made in four languages, and English is not always the first (and I don't think that is necessary.) There are many more 'international' passengers than the bigger American-centric lines. Again - that's is at it should be. After all, we go on vacation primarily to learn all about different cultures, and this is a real learning experience.
Cabins are probably a bit smaller than the ones we are familiar with. And a minor point - wish MSC would devote bigger space to the Future Cruise desk - boy, the two consultants hardly have room to turn around!
The cabin may have been a little bit smaller compared to other ships of equal cost. However, all the basics were there, and the presence of the butler made up for the lack of size.
