As previously with Scenic the organisation of embarkation, disembarkation and the excursions was excellent. The ship was very comfortable and managed by the crew very well - an excellent captain. The hotel side, room and general ship cleanliness and tidiness was outstanding. The dining experience was good although service was a problem at one point; however this was dealt with very professionally. The food and wines by definition try to represent the countries through which the ship sails which therefore did not match up to previous cruises in France and Vietnam - both of these were better in this respect. The tour director was very efficient and effective but by comparison with previous scenic trips (2 off) she did not mingle with guests as much. A downside of this trip, not made clear in the booking information, was the limited use of the Sun Deck due to low bridges particularly on the Main / Danube canal section we found this constraining. Similarly the booking information did not make clear the limited time in Budapest at the end of the trip - had we known this we would have extended our stay in a local hotel. Overall the excursions were good with excellent local guides being used, the highlight of these was the concert in Vienna and the definite low light was the Sundowner - the worst sundowner experience (of many) we have had. Although overall the holiday was good and justified the 4 stars rating above it was the worst of the three Scenic Cruise experiences we have had with both the Soane/Rhone (France) and Mekong (Vietnam) being much better.
Very good and kept very clean and tidy - not as large as the equivalent on Scenic Spirit on the Mekong.
