Sail Date: Jun 2017

We chose this because it was sailing on the Moselle, one of the few rivers we hadn't yet sailed on-we've taken many river cruises. we had been told that Scenic were good and so wanted to see for ourselves. it was a well-priced cruise..

The ship was always beautifully clean, the staff were all excellent and attentive, and food was generally of a good standard..

The on board pianist was the best we've experienced- he had a great singing voice, engaged well with the customers, and also played guitar.

Cabin Review

Cabin D

This cabin was small but well fitted out. We had a problem with our toilet, which eventually ceased working after the first week..

We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a deluxe balcony(202) on the deck above which was wonderful. This made for a delightful second week when we were able to sit outside and appreciate the good weather days.

Port Reviews

Cochem

a lovely town and in particular the castle was well worth visiting

Antwerp

guide was very good but this excursion had to be curtailed because of our late arrival in Antwerp due to a broken lock.

Bernkastel-Kues

a good tour of the town, and a reasonable local lunch. We had a ride o a local ferry but that did not really compensate for our ship being unable too sail on the Moselle..
