We chose this because it was sailing on the Moselle, one of the few rivers we hadn't yet sailed on-we've taken many river cruises. we had been told that Scenic were good and so wanted to see for ourselves. it was a well-priced cruise..
The ship was always beautifully clean, the staff were all excellent and attentive, and food was generally of a good standard..
The on board pianist was the best we've experienced- he had a great singing voice, engaged well with the customers, and also played guitar.
Most of the excursions were really good, with excellent local guides.
We appreciated the fact that it was truly all-inclusive, with a wide range of drinks on offer at all times, including champagne, and a variety of gins and single malt whiskies. Gratuities had been built into the cruise price.
The cruise director was excellent, and dealt well with any issues.
The one disappointment was having to take buses to the places on the Moselle because of lock maintenance. This made for some long journeys.
This cabin was small but well fitted out. We had a problem with our toilet, which eventually ceased working after the first week..
We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a deluxe balcony(202) on the deck above which was wonderful. This made for a delightful second week when we were able to sit outside and appreciate the good weather days.
a lovely town and in particular the castle was well worth visiting
guide was very good but this excursion had to be curtailed because of our late arrival in Antwerp due to a broken lock.
a good tour of the town, and a reasonable local lunch. We had a ride o a local ferry but that did not really compensate for our ship being unable too sail on the Moselle..
a good overview of the town, and we were able to take the cable car afterwards.View All 104 Walking Tour Reviews
