We are a young couple who have cruised in the past on Celebrity and Princess. We flew in from Seattle on American Airlines the day before the cruise. We stayed at the Sheraton in Old San Juan. The hotel was within walking distance to shops and restruants. Had an excellent Italian dinner that night, within a five minute walk from the hotel. The morning of the cruise we dropped our luggage off at the cruise ship port around noon. We took the free trolly to El Morro and San Cristobal both only $3 to enter. But if you plan to go to both, buy the dual pass and save a buck.
The ship was fine. Would recommend a balcony cabin on the upper deck. Dinning rooms were a little hard to find at first. The casino was too small and very smokey. We didn't partipcate in many activites because we were always too busy in port. Our room steward was great he always greeted us in the morning. Our dinning room server, Dwain, was great. He never cared when we ordered more than one dinner. The drink server was very slow and didn't seem to care that you were there, but the assistant waiter was always eager to lend a helping hand with the drinks.
Caught one show with a juggler/comedian and a very angry standup comedian. The first was decent, but the latter was uninspiring enough to not go and catch his "adult" show the following evening.
Cabin #6319 was in a perfect location. We never heard any noise and the location was perfect. The cabin was fairly large, it had enough closet space and drawer space. The balcony was nice you could fit two people very comfortably. The bathroom was a very nice size and had lots of space. My only complaint would be the hair dryer, it gets way to hot.
