This was our first cruise with Royal Caribbean (we have previously cruised with other companies) and our expectations were dashed. Concerns... 1) Lack of variety and expertise in food prep compared to other cruise lines (if I wanted a hard boiled egg I would order that instead of eggs benedict - you get tired of seeing the same food in the Windjammer everyday at lunch) 2) Lack of TV and movie offerings - TV programming was repeated everyday for the entire cruise (shrek, how to train a dragon and kung fu panda)... can you believe that the feature movie for one of the nights was Forrest Gump that was made 20 years ago. All my previous cruises had recent blockbusters for viewing. 3) Dining table arrangements - my family of 7 were booked at 3 separate tables and it was only after my repeated attempts to correct the problem with the waiter, head waiter, dining room manager and guest services was this issue resolved. 4) No lobster is offered for dinner without extra charges - all my previous cruises had lobster offered free of charge on the formal night. This was not the case on this cruise.

The only highlights were the great excursions, housekeeping attendant staff (Julius), Dining Staff (Edwin and Victor)!!

Overall the Royal Caribbean brand was a huge disappointment! We had expected a A+ but got a C-.

La Spezia (Cinque Terre)

Pisa tour was excellent. Had enough time to climb the tower.
