Second time on Viking Oceans. Think they do a great job. This cruise was no exception, and I was really surprised at the great scenery on this particular itinerary (Into the Midnight Sun). At times it felt like a river cruise rather than an ocean cruise.

There were a couple more sea days than I wanted, but I suppose that's necessary when you start in London, go all the way up to the North Cape, and back down to Bergen. We also had a slight equipment malfunction which meant we had maybe 6 hours or less total in a couple ports. That was no big deal, but still a bit disappointing. Things like that do happen, however. I've cruised enough to know! Also, we missed one port (Lerwick) due to wind, which was disappointing, but again, missed ports DO happen. I've learned to not question the Captain.

I find Viking a little TOO low-keyed and enrichment-oriented for my liking, but I wasn't bored, as I could always find something to do for a while. I've never been all that interested in nightly shows, and could care less if there's a casino on board, so I did fine just looking out the window, reading, or whatever rather than being entertained by the staff.
