We chose this cruise because of the date it was available and that it was a five day cruise. This was the fourth cruise for me and my wife but our three kids first. Didn't want to be on a seven day if the kids didn't like the experience. I know that Carnival is geared toward a younger crowd and from previous experiences I knew that there would be a good bit of drinking going to be happening. What I didn't expect was the degree in which the cruise ship would be pushing the amounts of alcohol at all times. I had to take my children back to the cabin several times because of the lewdness that was occurring on the main deck. To which not one of the security officers or other employees made an attempt to curtail. I guess I am just getting too old but drunk middle aged women twerking and grinding on each other has lost its luster. It was not a pretty sight and if one of you who were doing this reads this review it might not hurt to look into a one piece suit for your next cruise. I know that carnival makes a good amount of money off their bars but there should be a limit these people had gotten sloppy drunk. My kids are young enough that they were not paying close attention to the festivities. I knew my kids were going to see some things like this but not to this degree. None of the previous cruises with carnival were this bad. If carnival wants to put a slide on there decks and have movies that they know are going to attract the children maybe they should plan their drinking games and other adult festivities in a different area. During the playing of the LEGO BATMAN movie we had to move our children so they could not see the couple grinding on one another in the hot tub. Again if carnival is going to play children's movies on deck they should tell their security officers, which were on deck to send these people to their room i'm not against fornication just do it somewhere else.

This ship is in need of some dock time. It is time for this ship to have some major work. Stained carpet, hopefully not biological. Dirty windows with some type of spray system which must not be working because you can hardly see out of them. Rust is evident in restrooms and showers and the paint job on the deck was peeling off the rust it was covering because someone did not do the prep work. I thought there was bird poop on the deck chairs but turns out it was just dried paint that had splattered everywhere. Our shower in the cabin backed up on the first night and a plumber came and fixed it withing the hour. Then our shower backed up the second night and the third and the fourth. I called and complained and went down to the service area to be assured it would be taken care of...It wasn't. We had a good time visiting the ruins and the trip to passion island on the inflatables they had to climb on. Our kids had a great time because they were looking through the eyes of a child and only noticed the shiny and newness of their first cruise. Being my fourth cruise with carnival I was disappointed to say the least and will be looking to another cruise line in the future. If your idea of a great time is to stay drunk for five days and watch drunk older overweight unattractive women vie for the attention of drunk overweight younger men than this is the cruise line for you.
