Having read some reviews about Celebrity Millennium, I thought that I might have to lower my standards, but this was not the case. We loved the ship!
Our cabin, 3059, was great! Porthole mid-ship was a great location. Room was immaculate thanks to our attendant, Freddie who gave us extra pillows! Felt spoiled to have room cleaned twice a day. The ship is older and shows signs of wear, but the crew takes great pride in her and treats her with respect.
We ate in the main dining room 3 times which was very good all nights. We were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary, but the dining staff did not acknowledge it. Two nights we ate at the Buffet. One night the meet was dry and overcooked, but the other night everything was great. On our last night, we ate at Qsine, a specialty restaurant which serves all you can eat meals served in a unique way. The desserts there were divine opposed to the buffet desserts which were dry and tasteless. We really liked the options of Orange Juice, Apple Juice, and milk for breakfast and Lemonade, Iced Tea, and Guava Juice for lunch and dinner. Coffee and Tea served all day at all meals. A few times we went to the Aqua Cafe for breakfast oatmeal or parfaits.
Nothing but Kudos for the cabin! Tip - if you get anything wet, like your hat or shoes, put them in the drawer above the mini-fridge. The heat from the fridge will dry almost anything in 24 hours. We asked for extra pillows which we got and had the shower curtain changed due to mildew smell, but they all smell that way. Air conditioning works great. We usually sleep in cooler temperatures and we actually had to make it a little warmer.
We rode the Red trolley to the Salmon Hatchery in the morning. Then we hopped on a bus to Mendenhall Glacier and walked out to Nugget Falls.
