We have always enjoyed Carnival Cruises. We like the relaxed atmosphere and non-pretentious passengers and crew. We also love the "Hairy Chest" contests, "Lip Sync" contests, and Karaoke, as well as the comedians and shows. BUT. . .this past cruise took a tragic and disturbing turn when one of the passengers had an accident on the Passion Island shore excursion. It happened on a water trampoline. Incredibly, other passengers who witnessed it less than 10 feet away said that the victim broke his neck, but when he was pulled from the water, no neck brace was used, and to make matters worse, no CPR was performed on him. Our deepest condolences to his wife and family. In addition, while we were on Passion Island, they kept running out of meat dishes, which were comprised of only fish or chicken and vegetables. I waited patiently for the chicken dish to be replenished, and after about 15 minutes, it was brought out and served. I noticed it tasted a little underdone and rubbery, but I was hungry and ate it, anyway. BIG MISTAKE! I had the worst case of diarrhea I've ever had in my entire life, and it lasted three days. Future cruisers, be forewarned about Passion Island!

Cabin Review

On our first day, our cabin steward met us at the door at 1:28 and complained to us that we were early since passengers were supposed to wait until 1:30. Really? Then he asked us if we wanted morning or evening room servicing. What happened to both?

Galveston

Galveston's water is brown and smells bad.
