Cabin: Deluxe Ocean View with Verandah 1B

Everyone is different and this was our first cruise ever, but I can honestly say we had a great time. On the whole, organisation of everything on the ship was exceptional. Service was professional, warm and caring, everywhere and at all times. Ship was spotless and room serviced meticulously. Food in main dining room was above average to very good. Better than The Porch, which I found a little underwhelming. Frequented Cafe Bacio every day for coffee etc. And enjoyed the experience but might suggest more staff and more seating for such a popular venue. We booked for anytime dining but were told on our first night that it was full and had been allocated early dining, found that a tad disappointing. Activities were plentiful and had just the right mix for us as we are "busy people" who like a bit of fun as well as chilling by the pool listening to the up beAt music. We thought the entertainment was of good quality and variety. We purchased a drinks package, one alcoholic and one not and recommend doing that for the convenience.

In short, spoilt for choice for things to do. There was a wide mix of ages on the boat but it certainly nappeared that everyone was there to have fun and generally have a chat!

Deluxe Ocean View with Verandah 1B

Cabin 1B

Adequate space and surprised by size of bathroom. Enjoyed having a balcony, especially when opening the cirtains one morning to a pod of dolphins outside! Plenty of storage and coat hangers.. our attendant Ashvid kept the cabin sparkingly.

Port Reviews

La Spezia (Cinque Terre)

Indépendantly took train to Monterosso then ferry to Portovenere, which we loved. Then ferry back to la spezia. Really easy and enjoyable day.

Barcelona

We did a hop on hop off in the morning followed by a gourmet tapas tour in the afternoon. Day two... leisurely lunch and mega shopping! Loved having two days in Barcelona

Malaga

Malaga is lovely but we took the train to Cordoba for the day. Easy 1 hour trip. We loved Cordobaand the Mezquita in particular

Ibiza

Took taxi to top of old town which was delightful then hopped another taxi to

Laya d'en bossa for lunch à d relaxation at. Ritzy beach club

Villefranche

We booked a private driver for the dAy to visit Nice, Villa Ephrussi and St Paul de Vence.

Wonderful day with plenty of time for crepes when we returned to lovely VSM

Cartagena (Spain)

Surprisingly nice city and did our only shore wxcursion .... Segway, which we have done many times and love it!
