This is a great New England Cruise and we chose it due to the ports and summer break. The ship is not too big, but has plenty to enjoy. We liked the musicians in the evening in the center of the ship prior to dinner, and several nights there was great entertainment in the theater (comedian, juggle, and magician). We aren't into the musical/dancing events, so just skipped them. We also enjoyed three current movie nights out on the pool deck in the late evening. It felt like a drive in movie (although we did have to bundle up as it was quite chilly). Also enjoyed a daytime movie in the theater during a sea day.
The ports were the primary reason we took this cruise. Loved having 5 days in port as we get stir crazy on the ship. By the last day I was so ready to get off the ship (third day of sea only), but overall this was our favorite cruise! We had two teenage boys with us, and we managed to make the small inside cabin work just fine for all four of us (with some good advanced packing planning). The large luggage doesn't fit under the bed, so plan for those to go in the closet with backpacks and thinner items sliding under the bed. Lots of small drawers that we could put things in too. We were also thrilled to have a nice flat screen TV in the room that my 17 yo had no problem hooking the HDMI cord for his PS4 to.
Be warned that Dine anytime really needs reservations, but with that we got a consistent wait staff (very nice for the personal touch on a longer cruise and our team was fantastic-Joseph and Airi) and we dined most nights around 7:00 in the main dining room. Food was good with good variety. Iced Tea and coffee did taste a bit off, so i ended up brewing a cup of hot tea after a couple days. We never did one of the specialty dining as we don't feel it's necessary for the additional cost.
Large luggage doesn't fit under beds. So make sure to only bring two so they could both fit in the closet. Used one for dirty clothes throughout the cruise. Four adult size people fit in here (drop down beds), but none of us are big (all four of us are between 100-160 pounds each). Larger travelers would likely feel a bit cramped with four people in there. We are use to camping in an RV and we feel like the tight quarters was like our camping days (forced family togetherness that gets lost with teens). Several drawers and cubbies to store items/clothing. Will just need to plan for it. Typical small cruise shower but it does adjust in height and angle which helps.
