The ship is a bit dated but overall is in nice condition. This size ship may not have as many amenities as the larger ones, but there are far less less people as well.

Embarkation was a bit tedious. Thought we were getting there early enough but were still met with significant lines to wait in. RC staff took the opportunity to hit us up for the first in a long line of specialty dining pitches, which are constant. You get hit again after clearing the check-in process, and then again when you first get on the ship. Expect them to hit you up for drink packages often as well.

Dining was good overall as far as the dining room was considered. Great wait staff (Monoj and I Komang were the best!) and reasonably good food every night. Breakfast was disappointing in the dining room and only ate there twice. Windjammer buffet was OK, but nothing to write home about. They didn't change things up much for breakfast and lunch from day to day but had eggs/omelettes made to order and a carving station that were pretty good.

Cabin Review

Large Interior Stateroom

Cabin K

Excellent location for pool deck/Windjammer and Palladium theater. Thought we might have trouble with sound coming from theater one deck below but never heard anything from there. Only noise problem was last night of the cruise when luggage was being moved by the crew. Fortunately it was located far enough from the Centrum that noise from the nightly entertainment there wasn't an issue.

Space is tight as with most cruise cabins, and using upper bunks doesn't allow lowers to be pushed together. Everyone needs to be cautious as headroom for both upper and lower beds is pretty tight. Four people in a room this size can be challenging so a little cooperation goes a long way! Closet is a decent size but recommend bringing some extra hangers for longer cruises. Finding a place to store 4 suitcases for a 9 day cruise can be a bit challenging, as the housekeeping staff store replacement linens and towels under the beds.

If you are old enough to remember phone booths, imagine one with the corners cut off and you will have a good idea of how big the shower is. A bit more than challenging when the shower curtain has a habit of sticking to you.

Port Reviews

Baltimore

Port is in a pretty dingy area of the city, not really much to see
