Despite upgrading to Yacht Club it was simply not worth the money spent. The cabin and staff were fine, but it was being on board a large ship with so many people that one felt crowded no matter where in the public spaces you were. Trying to find a seat in the buffet or to sit and listen to music in the evening was difficult. And the noise levels, one could barely have a conversation amidst the din.
I think that if the Yacht Club had provided a better selection of meals in their restaurants and entertainment in their lounge we would never have left that area of the ship. And been happier for the experience.
The ports of call were okay, but in Geiranger and Flam there was limited things to do on shore unless you were on a trip.
