We take this cruise every year because we don't have to fly and Alaska is such a great place to cruise. For the first (and maybe the only) time we upgraded to a Neptune suite. We absolutely loved it! We'd do it again and every cruise if we could afford it. The weather was not great, but we don't mind too much since we have done this cruise many times.
We love the Amsterdam and hope that the changes that are rumored will not affect it.
We love the library and the puzzle tables and a couple we often cruise with play serious bridge each cruise. If these quiet amenities are changed or removed, it will be very disappointing.
Lovely! We wished we had had better weather so we could enjoy the wonderful deck more.
We've been here many times. Love Pegasus bookstore and Tongas Trading Post.
Been here many times and have taken fishing excursions, glacier excursions. The Invisible Sweater shop near the HAL dock is not to be missed. Beautiful sweaters hand knit in Bolivia!
Next cruise, if it isn't raining, my husband will take the zipline. Halibut and chips here are very good. Haven't been to Hoonah since our first trip. Hope they have restrooms by now.
Be sure to see the museum. We always have dinner at the Glacier Brewhouse and breakfast at the Snow City Cafe, but you need reservations for both!
Lots of fun when the weather is good. We like the Sisters restaurant on the last stop.
Great when the weather's good. Two good museums. Wish the cruise lines would negotiate a tour of the Coast Guard station.
Everybody's favorite port! Never enough time in this port. Where is the yarn shop? Is it still in business? I couldn't find it this trip.
Fun place, but the price for the shuttle goes up every trip. Wonderful book store on Fort
St. Don't miss the upstairs. What has happened to all the antique shops? We love to have a drink on the verandah of the Empress and just watch all the activities. We hope Victoria is serious about cleaning up their raw sewage before dumping it in the Strait.
