My partner and I just completed a 7-day voyage on Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth to see the Norwegian fjords.

Basic Details: We made the reservation via Cunard’s website in mid-January 2017 for a 6/24/17 departure from Southampton. We chose a Queens Grill cabin and our package included gratuities and all beverages US$12.00 and under. We purchased the voyage protection insurance, but made our own air arrangements. I flew to London on 6/21/17 from New Orleans (via Chicago), and my partner flew the same day to London nonstop from San Francisco. We both flew United Airlines – Polaris Business Class and met at Heathrow on the morning of 6/22. We took a taxi to Westminster where we stayed at the Conrad St. James for two nights. On Saturday, 6/24 we hired a private car service (Addison Lee) to take us from the Conrad directly to Pier 46 in Southampton, where the Queen Elizabeth was docked.

Upon our return to Southampton on 7/1, we purchased an airport transfer from Cunard, which took us to Heathrow Terminal 4. We stayed at the Hilton Heathrow Hotel (T4) for one night before flying home to San Francisco on 7/2.
