We felt VERY well treated onboard ship. Every staff person we encountered was friendly and polite and courteous and helpful. The food was extraordinary. We looked forward to every meal whether in the Main Dining Rm or the Windjammer Cafe or at Chops Grille. It was also a luxury to come back to our stateroom to a clean room twice a day. The entertainment was enjoyable; we especially enjoyed the energy and the music of The East Shore Boys (a take-off on Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons). The itinerary to the various ports of call is the initial reason we chose this cruise but these other things made the whole experience an absolute delight. I am in awe of the hard-working and positive attitudes of the crew aboard ship.

I have many details about the excursions below.

Villefranche, France ~ Tendered into town. Nice little picturesque seaport town. Fun to walk around and poke into little shops smelling of lavender. We met at the harbor and took the RC excursion to Nice and St. Paul de Vence. $72 per person. Did not see that much in Nice as the bus just drove around streets and did not stop anywhere for viewing or picture opportunities. Therefore, I got no pictures of Nice as it seemed like everything was always on the other side of the bus. We enjoyed the small mountain fortress town of St. Paul de Vence though. We walked around the narrow, cobblestone streets and took pictures, then picked a cafe for a light lunch of bread and cheese and wine.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E2

Cabin was adequate. Yes, a little worn on the curtains to the veranda where other people had caught them in the door and a little worn on the arm of the upholstered settee but the room is kept immaculate by the stateroom attendant and is cleaned twice daily including the bathroom with fresh towels. Nothing worth complaining about in my mind. The overall experience makes up for these small negative details.
