This is the 5th cruise my wife and I have taken, our first time on Norwegian. We were so ready for a vacation after a long school year, my wife is a teacher. The Escape is a big beautiful ship with lots of activities and space to move around in. We had a wonderful balcony room on the 12th floor close to the aft elevators, so we were close to just about everything. We were traveling without our children this time which was nice because we didn't have to worry about accomodating anyone other than ourselves. The ship was very clean and the staff was very friendlly. However, it seemed that they were always about 1 or 2 staff members short in most of the public areas especially the bars. Had to wait a lot to get drinks from the bars and servers in the pool area , indoor bars and entertainment venues were unpredictable and hard to find, with the exception of the comedy club where they also had the dueling pianos. The dueling pianos are awesome by the way, perhaps my favorite entertainment on the boat. The trick to getting quick service at the bars is to pull out a couple of dollars so they can see it in your hands. They won't walk past you.
The restaurants were good, especially the specialty ones as was the service there. Even without a reservation they made an effort to get you seated.
While we didn't travel with children this time, I don't think I would have liked having my children when they were younger or my grandchildren on this cruise. There were a lot of families on board but I don't think that the entertainment venues were really family friendly. They called it a lot of PG-16 and labels of that nature. Everything seemed to be associated with a type of sexual inuendo. Granted I expect that at the bars and comedy clubs and even the Mr and Ms Legs competitions which were great. Basically, the legs competition consists of younger ladies lapdancing the judges followed by a 70 year old woman who pours a bucket of ice water on her bikini top and the crowd goes wild and the iced down woman wins as well she should.

Balcony Stateroom
Very nice cabin with balcony. Very Clean and roomy as far as staterooms can be. Our room attendent was really sweet and accomodating.

Nassau
Nassau is okay, shopping is less expensive. Walked to the beach and had some incredibly good jerk chicken from a road side stand. Don't go to the fish fry place! Its a tourist trap. They will literally grab you by the arm and try to pull you in their restaurant. Saw a guy at the pier running from the police and jumped in to the ocean to get away from them. While they were arresting his buddy, he swam down to Senior Frogs and some people helped him out of the water and he ran away barefoot and in his underwear, as he took his jeans off to swim better. Not sure what they did but that is Island entertainment at its best.
