I have cruised on a number of different cruise lines to various destinations around the world. I always thought my trip on one of the small Luxury Ships would have surpassed any of the larger ships in attention to detail and personal touches. Now I have to say I was wrong.

Imagine walking up to the port expecting to stand in the long lines and waiting for a very long time in the crowds just to get on board the Norwegian Pearl. Now forget that as you walk past the lines, check in at your private lounge and are immediately escorted onto the ship to what will be essentially your private yacht.

I booked my family in the 14000 Villa suite and little did I know what luxury awaited us. We were brought to our accommodation, which was more than 4000 square feet of oasis. We had a wall of windows in our living room overlooking the pool deck as well as ocean views that were spectacular. Our private deck had its own hot tub, sauna, and lounge area on a second floor giving us splendid views of the Alaskan mountains, whales, and glaciers. Each of the bed rooms were incredible, with the Master Bedroom having a wall of windows to enjoy the scenery, a large tub, shower and walk in closet. The other two bedrooms had private balconies as well as nice sized bathrooms.

Courtyard Villa with Balcony

Spectacular! really like a private yacht with personal butler and concierge that tends to your every need. This may be one of the largest if not the largest suite on the ocean. Truely a Rock Star experience!
