We choose this cruise for the Ports of call, and we thoroughly enjoyed them all, especially Italy. As for the 'Royal Princess', the ship common areas are very nice, and clean. We did have an interior stateroom on deck 11, the room was definitely dated and was showing serious wear. The bath towels we very worn, and could see though parts of the towels...thankfully they awesome stateroom attendant changed daily. The bed was fairly comfortable thanks to a pillow top mattress cover. As for dining we had 'anytime' dining, rarely did we wait for more than a few moments to be seated. The service however was very different every night, the first night was bad, the next two nights were Awesome, then back o ok.....so you get the idea. The food quality was decent, but rarely memorable. The steaks and beef wellingtons were not of great quality and could not be ordered anything but medium to well done. So much for rare or medium rare...The drink service at the shows and theater was usually good, sometimes you had extended wait times due to the single bartender being backed up, but usually plenty of wait staff to serve you. We did enjoy the private photo shoot session offered to us, Inna was AWESOME, so of course we dropped more coin to Princess for the photos, but they throw in the cruise photos to boot. The Spa was very nice, we spent some time there doing massages and pedi/mani's. The service was great, but the after push to buy more products got very old after our first two visits. Seems like princess was always wanting more money for something, even though you had already purchased 'extras' they want extra from you....Not a bad cruise, not a Awesome cruise....but we did enjoy our time and memories made. The entertainment comedian missed a flight, the back up singer was good, but music was for older generations...the magic shows (two) were phenomenal....A plus for hiring Hawley magic....
