The only redeeming part of the cruise was how polite and courteous the staff was, especially in customer service. They had constantly long lines all day long. Also. the variety and quality of the food in the Windjammer buffet was great.
This was the most disappointing cruise I have ever taken. The cruise would have been much better if I didn't have to worry about constantly monitoring my onboard account. I was at customer service 3 out of 5 days having corrections made to my bill. One time I had 7 glasses of wine charged to my account on a night I didn't even go to the dining room. I had the Deluxe drink package, so I shouldn't have had to worry about any drinks at all; but, I was still getting charged. When we investigated that max amount of a drink, the staff gave different responses, some said $12 and others said $13 (this was the actual amount). We received a letter on the first day telling us the package max was $12, which was incorrect.
One person in our group was at customer service every day and sometimes 2 or 3 times in a day for similar issues. She bought the Deluxe Drink Package when she boarded. She had 2x packages charged, when she went to get the extra removed, they removed 1 package. The next time she bought a drink, she was told she didn't have any drink package. She even had issues with her final bill on the day of departure.
This port required a tender to transport people to/from the boat. The returning tender line took over an hour to get through and it rained the whole time we waited. The rest of the day in port was very nice, it was only returning to the ship that caused the lower rating.
