We chose this cruise due to having cruised with Royal Caribbean in the past (Note: This was our 4th cruise with Royal Caribbean) and really have enjoyed all of the amenities. The other reasons were related to our schedules, which ports were available and a deal we found through a travel agency. Embarkation was a little rough (knowing where to go at some points was confusing). Disembarking was surprisingly easy with the exception of the time to leave the room, we thought were to leave the cabin and meet at a certain time (due to documents received the night before) but were corrected by ship security to leave right away the next morning at about 9:15AM. We chose to have a porter handle our luggage, which for a reasonable tip was worth its weight in gold. The porter moved our luggage from baggage claim, to customs and all the way out to cruise passenger pickup.

Entertainment was really good on this ship. We both fell asleep during "Cats" but we were spoiled by the other shows with so many scene changes, as well as costume changes - "Cats" didn't hold our interest very long and we left during intermission.

Our shore excursions went well with the exception of the "Tiki Hut, snorkel and relax" excursion in St Marteen. Our guide was really late to arrive. We were surrounded by others in line for other excursions were their guides got them pumped up and really made it fun. Our guide didn't apologize until she brought us to our transportation, blamed the cruise line (RC) for the delays (Note: We left and hour late for our excursion) and didn't speak with us much. The airport beach excursion (in the line next to us) seemed a lot better put together and the guide and group were really pumped. The other excursions around us seemed really well organized. Our "Sapphire Beach and Snorkel" excursion was a lot of fun. The beach was beautiful (really amazing). Our guide did a great job of navigating the busy road ways (Skyline Drive) and treated us exceptionally well. The photo op towards the end of the excursion was a huge "plus". Our excursion to Blue Lagoon Beach in Nassau was fun but good snorkeling was treacherous to achieve. Once at the recommended spot, the snorkeling was amazing but it took a minor injury to make it happen.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D8

The cabin was well thought out. Even the shower was much more manageable than the last cruise on the Freedom of the Seas (interior room). The balcony was a very good size and was plenty large enough for the two of us. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the changing views on the water and especially enjoyed the views from the balcony when in port. The bed was hard as a board, the foam pad we requested wasn't provided but would have made for a better experience. The tv in room was a large lcd and we had excellent internet connectivity through Zoom. The in room tv had a channel that allowed us to see our itinerary, current on board charges and daily scheduled events - we were even able to book activities via the in room tv (nice touch). Storage for clothes and other items was well laid out. There was a hair dryer provided in room as well as a mini fridge. There was also a small love seat in the room that made it nice to relax after a long day and/or put or take your shoes off without messing up the bed.
