After quite a few cruises with Royal Caribbean we recently took a cruise with Princess Cruises on the Golden Princess, because we wanted to see Papua New Guinea.

So, how do Princess compare with RC?

Ship - Have to give this to RC. The Golden Princess is an ugly ship with it's strange bow, supported bridge and weird stern attachment. Inside it's like a ship designed by a committee. Nothing flows. Odd corridors and add ons, very strange to navigate. RC ships are much more user friendly and look sleek. Read more
