We wanted something different after 35 ocean cruises. We got a good offer on this cruise so decided to try it. We were not disappointed. If you have never been, you NEED to go. From embarkation (if you even call it that). It was more like welcome aboard. No line ups, no waiting,

It is a different type of vacation. No buffet, not endless amounts of food. This cruise is really about seeing incredible sites.

Our itinerary was amazing but after seeing what we saw, I would think anything you chose on a river cruise would be just as incredible. You cannot beat the sites you see in the oldest part of the world.

Cabin Review

Outside stateroom with fixed window

Cabin D

The cabin we had was the smallest and at the lowest level but it was still bigger than a ocean view or inside cabin on an ocean cruise line on most ships. Lots of storage and excellent size bathroom/shower. Shampoo/conditioner/body wash and lotion included every day.

Port Reviews

Basel

Arrived in Basel the day before the cruise. Basel is a beautiful City with excellent transit to get around. Wonderful bars, and restaurants (very expensive in Switzerland though) (2 burgers, fries and 2 beers at a take out hamburger place was over 80 Swiss Frances)

Rudesheim

walking tour and cable car... great sites

Koblenz

Very interesting. Stayed over night so after dinner we went out by our selves too. easy to get around and very safe for tourists.

Amsterdam

Good overview of the city from the canal perspective (was in a boat accident while on our cruise)
