We took our children and grandchildren on this cruise to get a glimpse of Havana. The ship itself was very nice despite reading some horror stories on line. It was clean, beds were comfortable, lots of activities throughout the cruise for both adults and children. The food was average in the buffet and main dining rooms. I would not recommend Il Adagio as the food was fair to poor. Needless to say Havana was HOT! We were warned but you can't be prepared for the heat. e had to wait probably an extra hour to be cleared to dock, but disembarking was painless. Despite some areas of Old Havana giving us an uneasy feeling, we had a wonderful time. We were approached by a few older women with photos and stories, presumably asking for money. We spoke no Spanish, but we simply said no and they left us alone. Most shops speak some english. I arranged our own car tour with Old Car Tours we had two cars for 7 people plus a driver and guide in each car. Our guides, Olivia and Louis were wonderful! They were knowledgeable, friendly and interacted with the entire family. They also arranged lunch for us at a restaurant which was very good. I did a lot of research ahead of time and mapped out areas to visit in Old Havana on our own, Helad'oro Ice Cream, Calandestina Store, Camara Oscura, Conde De Villanueva Hotel's cigar shop. There were other places we didn't get to because we simply ran out of steam. We arranged a trip to The Tropicana through Cuba Travel, much cheaper than the ship tour. We had beautiful weather throughout the entire cruise and did make it to Great Stirrup Cay. It was a great cruise.

Cabin Review

Oceanview Porthole Window
Cabin OG 8262
I typically have a balcony and with this being my first porthole cabin, i was pleasantly surprised. The cabin was smaller, but it was more than adequate.
