This was a family cruise and included 10 members from 10-70. I had a royal suite this time. This was huge. About 3 times as large as a regular cabin with a separate bedroom. It also had a tub, shower, and 2 bathrooms. The other 2 cabins were Celebrity suites. This is way above my pay grade and was a one time thing. I just happened to get a good deal right before the cruise. I will now go back to my balcony room.
We had a table for 10 in the Luminae . Special recognition (and please forgive the spelling) to Nicasio and his assistant Khartina. Excellent and I was impressed that they knew all of our names by the second day. Yan the wine steward was also excellent. The food there was good and changed nightly. The location of this restaurant is on deck 3 . I believe and does not have as good of a view as the other specialty restaurants. Although they are both excellent, I think I prefer the food in the Blu a little better.
Specialty restaurants. Since my cabin included unlimited specialty restaurants, I treated all of my grand children to a lunch in them. All 3 were great, but the lunches are not as fancy as the dinners. I was impressed that Goezda from Turkey remembered us from a previous cruise. She over sees the specialty restaurants.
Beyond our expectations. Had separate bedroom. Was about 3 times as large as a regular cabin. Had tub,and shower and two baths. Had a butler from India named Jose. He did his job and then some. This cabin was a one time thing for us. Will go back to balcony in future. Cabin steward was excellent.
I would recommend coming to Seattle several days early before the cruise.
We did not take an excursion. If you want to go to the lumberjack show, it is right off the dock. Enjoyed walking around the town and creek area. Hated the tourist shops at dock. Especially the diamond stores.
It was raining. Walked into town. You can book excursions there if you want. Not really much to see in town. Has adde an entire strip of shops since I was there last. I always wonder-Why would you buy a diamond from a a total stranger when you can get the same thing aat home.
Good walking around town. Their were 4 cruise ships in town. One main st. Lined with stores. Some local. Enjoyed the brothel. Also a very nice-free gold rush museum there.
Didn't get there until 5 p.m. But almost everything was open. Walking around the inner harbor is nice. Walked through the large hotel. Went to Munroe book store.
