Embarkation was good. Greeted by nice friendly efficient staff. Our stateroom was very nice. It was modern, new and clean. The shower recess is the largest I have ever had on a cruise ship. The toilet is at an angle and my knees jam against the shower glass when sitting down. This is not a complaint, just an observation. The bed was not comfortable as there was a huge hollow in the middle. This was surprising considering the newness of the ship but no doubt caused by people sitting on the bed instead of the very nice couch. TV is great with a good selection of movies. Nice desk and ample wardrobe space. We paid for a balcony with an unobstructed view but we got a good view of the superstructure. To actually see anything we had to go outside and stand at the rail. Sitting on the balcony gave us a good view of the sky. We found the food to be better than most ships we have sailed on but the service in the buffet is a little hit and miss. Ask for bacon and you get one piece of dry rubbish that has to be eaten with the fingers and it shatters on impact. There was some English style bacon but it was always undercooked. Most of the other food was okay.

The entertainment on the ship is very poor. The theatre shows were okay at times but other than that there was a screeching band in BB King's, a bit of classical music and a piano player that played for a short while. General trivia and music trivia very poor.

The service desk staff and the rest of the crew were all very nice and helpful.
