The parking is so bad that I'm not sure why Carnival continues to operate out of this port.

Galveston

Bought the Hop On/Hop Off Bus tickets after being recommended by Carnival staff.  We just felt as if we were being taken advantage of ($$$ wise) by every stop.  FYI, kids are 1/2 price - Carnival had told us they were the same price.

Montego Bay

Part of a Multi-part excursion (Turtle Farm, Rum Cake Factory, Hell, and Stingray Swim).  Driver was unfortunately older and talked too softly - any advice or descriptions were completely unheard.  Hell was WAY too short.  Barely 10 minutes to peruse the tiny shops for postcards, print addresses on them and get them stamped to send from "Hell."  My son and I ran behind the post office to grab a 5 second picture of what Hell really was and then back on the bus.  Disappointing.

Stingray Swim - really crowded, but an unbelievable and treasured experience with wild stingrays.  Our group was too large so the staff was unable to really teach us or discuss anything educational.

Turtle Farm was a nice experience - again, the driver/guide would have been helpful if we could have heard him.  Our family loved the brief, yet exciting moment of holding the small turtles.

We purchased the Dolphin Swim and Beach Excursion.  One of ours was an "observer only." The transportation to the location was packed and hurried, but friendly and organized.  The Dolphin Swim was just okay - our observer could not even "observe" close - might as well have skipped that $50.  NO pictures allowed and they were VERY tight on this - then you understand why when you have to shell out $165 for the pictures (no smaller packages were offered to us).  Carnival should have forewarned about this overpriced issue).  The included buffet was HORRENDOUS.  The observer's buffet was not included and she ordered of the menu - MUCH BETTER than the buffet.  The beach afterwards was just okay.  Again overpacked.
