Our family reunion was based out of Galveston to Key West and The Bahamas. We had balcony rooms and loved it. Food was excellent in MDR. Lido buffet and BBQ venue were good choices. Breakfast at the buffet got a bit boring so we opted for a better quality and selection in MDR. Guy's hamburger joint was nothing that special. OK to try once, but way too many other better foods to try every day. Malcolm is the absolute best Cruise Director. 2016 CD of the Year is well deserved. Casino very smoky and too much smoke drifts into the common areas. Also they allowed smoking in casino while closed during disembarkation. WiFi for in-house messaging was sporadic and failed for about half the trip. Most people complained about this problem. UUURG! Free comedy shows were very good. Excursions in Freeport and Nassau were great. ATV tours and SNUBA were extra fun! Disembarkation went smooth. People with earlier flights could leave early . Thank you Carnival!! Service for the most part was very good. A few nights in MDR I did not get all the sides as ordered. Kudos to the Captain and crew for avoiding Tropical Storm Cindy. Somehow he diverted and got us to our ports of call with little or no rough seas. Only issue is that on this itinerary you have 2 days at sea going to Key West and coming home from Bahamas. Can make for a long 2 days at sea . How many game shows and trivia games can one play? NOTE: Jeff Foxworthy show on board was great! Worth the $30 ticket.
