This cruise was a family celebration and included my husband and I (late 50s), our adult sons and their wives (late 20s/early 30s) and their baby daughters (ages 11 and 14 months.) We chose this particular ship because it had a splash zone for the babies in diapers. It also offered a drop-in babysitting service for children ages 6 months - 3 years. While those were the primary reasons for selecting the Liberty of the Seas (few cruise ships cater to babies,) we were also thrilled that they catered to active adults. The water slides, wave pool, rock climbing wall, etc. were all things that all adults in our group enjoyed. The evening entertainment was on par with great Broadway and Vegas shows.
Between loving the ship's amenities, along with the outstanding crew, we now consider ourselves a cruising family. While on last week's cruise, we scheduled our next one for next April. We chose the Liberty of the Seas again, and hope to get the same wait staff that we had this past week. Next time, we will also bring along my 90-year-old mother. This ship is truly one for all ages!
The cabin was the perfect size for my husband and me and served as headquarters for our family. (Our sons and their families had interior staterooms that overlooked the promenade.)
There was plenty of room for our belongings so that we were able to unpack and organized everything on day one.
Note that there is only one electrical outlet in the room. Because the ship has to produce its own power, they don't make it easy to use items that draw a lot of electricity. I travel a good bit and am used to not having convenient power outlets, so I always take a surge suppressor to allow for enough outlets to recharge phones and other devices. This was taken when we boarded the ship and was given back when we disembarked. It wasn't a problem, but I was surprised that it was not allowed.
The embarking process and disembarking process was organized and as unpainful as that process can be.
