The cruise visited locations where we wanted to explore. We had sailed with Royal Caribbean before and liked the ship and the cruise line. This time the cruise did not live up to prior cruises. The entire experience on ship was a constant upsell, and it was not an inexpensive cruise. I booked private excursions and paid less for private cars and drivers than I would have with great big bus tours. The wifi was sporadic, they charge for everything, including soda. The stores on the ship were overpriced with limited selection. The ports we visited were amazing and the ship/crew got us on and off of the ship quickly. The balcony was wonderful. Cruising the Mediterranean is wonderful. Would definitely do it again, but with another cruise line. Also, bring your own toiletries as they only supply shampoo and soap in the room--more like a third rate hotel and not a luxury cruise.
Cabin was small, but slept three adult sized people. The balcony was wonderful--spent a lot of time there after each days excursion. They don't supply toiletries except for poor quality shampoo, so bring your own.
Stayed on Las Ramblas. Explored on our own. Beautiful. Must visit.
Private driver to tour Marseilles and Cassis, lovely itinerary. Wonderful sights, wonderful experience. Beautiful place to visit.
Our tour was cancelled due to rough seas--the boat to Cinque Terre was cancelled, so we set out on our own and took a bus and visited the first two of the "Five Lands." Amazing day. It was easy to explore and the sights, people, food, shopping--all lovely.
Would give the day 10 stars if possible. Toured Capri and Anacapri and got to go into the Blue Grotto. Wish I could have stayed longer. Spend more time in Anacapri and take the chair lift to the top.
