We chose this cruise, out of NYC, for (2) reasons: The Ports and to explore the Sunshine. We've been on the Victory; Glory; Splendor and on this one. In comparison, this ship reminded me more of the Victory and Glory because it was laid out very well. The Sunshine was a little better than average. The Splendor was just terribly laid out and had a terrible time on the Splendor. We had plenty of room in our(Sunshine)interior cabin; temperature control worked xcellently and our Steward(Jonard)was always respectable and "on point" with cleaning our room or whatever needs that we had. The bed was very comfortable. We mostly ate in the Buffett in which the food was usually not heated well; almost the same menus everyday. Not very good; just average at best. The Chef should've did a better job in preparing meals and directing his Staff. But all the Staff was respectable and pleasant. We went to De Capitano(Italian)Restaurant the service was very good and the food was xcellent. Guys Burger Joint was second best to De Capitano. The Mongoleon Wok/JiJi was very good as well. Service in both of these areas was quick; respectable and very good. The Entertainers were Great and Professional, they knew how to put on a show. Didn't like the delay in getting to San Juan, they should've had a better Navigator; St. Thomas was just AWESOME, arrived there on time. And Grand Turk was a relaxing time, and again we were delayed in arriving to Grand Turk. So that cut into our Port Time. Time on the Ship was relaxing, many activities, many things going on. They should've kept the passengers better informed about the Adult activities. The Cruise Director was Great. Embarkation was "rough" because we stood in (1) line, but it was so long that it seemed like (2) lines. It took about 45min. to reach the Sail & Sign desk. Disembarkation should've been organized alot better. But, to me, that's nothing new with Carnival. It's always a mess. Prepare for long waits for Embarking and Disembarking in NYC.

We had plenty of room in our(Sunshine)interior cabin; temperature control worked xcellently and our Steward(Jonard)was always respectable and "on point" with cleaning our room or whatever needs that we had. The bed was very comfortable. We had plenty of storage space for our clothes, actual Drawers.

Grand Turk

Love Grand Turk. It's very relaxing, even though its crowded. We found a nice shady place under a huge Palm Tree. No problems. Locals were friendly and helpful.
