We were excited to experience our first Norwegian cruise, overall we had a good time but there were some things that were disappointing. The boat was incredibly crowded, you had to get up around 6am to get a chair by the pool. At 9am there are no chairs left outside on any of the levels. Our pool towels were taken after the first day and we were never given replacements. We asked for them and were told by our steward that if he could find any we would get them. We never got them.

We are not a fan of the freestyle dining. We have children who didn't want to wait 40 minutes for a table at the sit down restaurants when they knew the buffet was available. The one night we forced them to eat in the Manhattan room, our order was not executed correctly by the server. My son has a peanut allergy and I did not trust the server regarding the ice cream. She told me she would check the ingredients but never did. My son went without the ice cream. There were several issues around us, with dietary accommodations. I would not rely on food safety here regarding allergens.

On a positive note, the kids loved Splash Academy. They wanted to go there for all the programs and had a blast. The entertainment on the ship was very enjoyable.
