Frankly, we were both tired of the hot, humid Caribbean cruises, and this was a nice alternative. The weather was Great, cool, fairly dry and really nice, highs maybe 75 degrees out. Embarkation was quick and proficient, took us no time at all, though it did take awhile for our bags to reach the room. We booked a junior spa suite, and it was very nice, roomy, loved the separate baths, and the rain-shower nozzle in the spacious shower. Our room attendant was great, did all we asked of her, very professional. We enjoyed the ships activities, my wife loved the ripcord I-fly experience. We did two shows, the Cabaret was just okay, the other, We will Rock You was very good. Our family did quite a bit of slots play in the Casino, most machines didn't pay off much, perhaps to be expected. We also did the slots tournament, which was a rip-off in general. Only the Winner got a prize of $500, Everyone else, including top 5 got Nothing for their participation and multiple$$ entries they paid. And the Casino host was very un-friendly to us and others, he didn't even recognize us, and we spent quite a bit of money in there over multiple days. As far as dining, we didn't eat any meals in the for fee$$ restaurants at all, we did have complimentary reservations for the dinner at Coastal Kitchen, and dined there three times, one meal was very good, the others more average, though the staff were Great every time. Windjammer was about as expected, ok food, very crowded at main meals, staff okay too.Dis Embarkation was a bit of a mess, we did early, hand-carry luggage, deck 5. Had an early flight from newark at 10a.m. and it was a big fustercluck at the area there. no crew members to direct guests or organize the lines. people were everywhere and soon both lines came back around and bumped into each other. All it took was maybe 2 crew members to come around, inform the guests when diembarking would start, and organize the lines and restore some order to the process. Very Dis-Organized mess, I mean they do this Every week or so when turnaround happens, come on RC, it doesn't take much to figure this out, and fix that problem. The rest went quickly, customs, etc, taxis waiting outside. With this many people, Everywhere on the Ship, I might think twice about booking a super-sized ship, and maybe go a little smaller. The long lines for everything get to be a real pain. Overall we had a good cruise, can't blame the other cruisers for being one of the many ants in that floating anthill. I would go again, just pack your patience with you when you do.

Cabin Review

Spa Junior Suite with Balcony

Cabin SJ

Cabin was great, no problems at all, spacious, plenty of room for everything. loved the shower, and large space there, especially the two separate sinks, so I could shave and my wife do her stuff too. Good storage/ closet too, plenty of drawers. Balcony was great too, spacious, un-obstructed veiw. The cabin attendant was very good, made our room up twice daily and did every thing we asked for.
