This was our first French cruise and first with Emerald. Thanks early booking we had a Grand Balcony Suite and the unlimited drinks package on top of everything else. The boat is superb, well planned and appointed and all the crew are obviously very proud of it. We dined with the captain, who was charming. The food was excellent and the drinks plentiful. All the staff were very friendly and efficient, especially Robert in the bar, Gabriela our cabin steward and most particularly the tour director, Jana who worked tirelessly to make sure that everything went smoothly. The included excursions were good and the local guides very informative. We did not do any optional tours as this gave us more time to relax on the boat and enjoy the amenities and the weather. A bonus was the guided bike ride from Turnous to Macon which took place in beautiful weather. Overall this was an excellent trip with a company that prides itself on providing slightly different cruise experience.
