We chose this cruise because we wanted a relaxing, friendly atmosphere and smaller ship, with a good price. However there were a few things that we were disappointed in. Firstly the beverage premium package, costing $799 and then it was so hard to get service in the dining areas and were not allowed to order another drink until you had finished the first one. Also we were wacked with another $70 on husbands account because he was having coffee in the morning which he thought was included in the package, when we looked at the list when we got home in tiny writing and very faded was a cross against coffee the only thing on that list that had a cross. Really I would think that was a beverage. My husband was only interested in the beer and wine and a couple of bottles of water, none of the other spirits or soft drinks etc. Top it off he spent at least 3 days in his cabin so as not to pass on a virus that he caught onboard.
The other thing that we were not happy with was having the Catamarans instead of the tenders to take us ashore, even though they were lovely it was such a waste of our days at shore, there was a line up for at least half/ to 1 hour to get on and then another 3/4 hour to 1 hour to fill 250 people on board, this was both ways, it didn't matter if you were first in the queue, it just meant that you had a longer wait on board.
On the bright side, we loved our cabins, entertainment food and most of the staff were very good and helpful. Places we went to were good. Thought the Gatsby night party could have started earlier, we had an early sitting and then there was no party and not much music around till 9.30pm, which was nearly our bedtime for 70 odd seniors. Sorry to have anything bad to say, but it pays to view your dislikes. Jubee Sydney.
Very impressed with cabin and the extra space it provided by moving the wardrobes away from the entrance door. Lots of hanging and storage space, comfortable beds. I think the water could be included in the room.
