We wanted to go to Alaska and our travel agent recommended Norwegian. This was our first cruise and thought all cruises were like this. After talking to numerous other passengers who cruised on other cruise lines, Norwegian is unique in the constant selling if diamonds, emeralds, Pandora, watches, art, bingo, etc. We could not get off the ship at any port without being handed brochures to buy all of the above. Apparently Norwegian owns all of the stores featured in the brochures. Seminars on how to buy these gems were were actually on the list of activities to do aboard ship. On the other hand, the service was excellent. The staff truly treated us so well. It was nice to feel so important to them. My luggage was lost by Delta, West Jet, and Alaska Air for the first five days of our cruise and the service desk provided me with a bag of a few essentials and one free laundry service, they cared more than the airlines. I also had difficulty getting around and rented a scooter. It was charged every night and delivered immediately when I called in the morning. The service staff also made sure I had a wheelchair for embarkation and debarkation. I can't say enough about the wonderful staff.

We had an inside cabin which we thought was very nice. It was well kept and clean and our steward, Ryann, was great. He always greeted us by name and would make sure we had anything we asked for.
