Cabin: Mini-Suite with Balcony

We enjoy a spring transatlantic and specifically the longer days at sea. Destination, price and timing made this cruise a good choice.

However, the larger ship offers some very big negatives: size of the balconies--miniscule; no wooden dance floor to dance to at the WheelHouse so no easy place to meet other couples who enjoy dancing, and the quality of the food was inconsistent. Some nights great; others, why bother. The separation of anytime dining areas was not beneficial; the wait staff was either overworked or the dining room was empty. The overhang on Deck 16 is just absurd and the lack of a pool at the aft part of the ship was greatly missed. The fact that you cannot walk to the front of the ship is incomprehensible. Princess excursions from the ship are way too expensive.

On a positive note, mini-suite cabin was comfortable; steward competent; and Alfredo's Pizzeria a real gem! Also the Princess Theatre design is a vast improvement; the cruise director went out of his way to set up a dance lesson for a group of us; the entertainment was wonderful. And the jogging track is also an improvement.
