Just returned from a 2 week cruise on board the Independence of the seas. We were a bit nervous after reading the negative reviews. Shouldn't have worried, as this is a fantastic ship.

Embarkation and disembarkation first class. Shuttle bus to and from Southampton airport in 20 mins.

This ship is not as modern as the recent ships, however very authentic and clean. Our service was first class in the Romeo & Juliet dining room (my time dining). Food excellent. Room spotless and well looked after by our room attendant.
