Chose this cruise because we had a large group going and it was convenient to home at a price even the 20 year olds could afford. From the start things were disappointing. Booked this cruise for a group of 33 people. Only 32 made it on the boat because one of the young men with us had his passport in his backpack which was in another vehicle and was checked in by the people in that vehicle. The staff was not very flexible or supportive in locating the bag so that we could obtain his passport and get him on board. This was over the course of 4 hours. We were some of the earliest to board and they couldn't get his luggage to him in that time so he could get his passport to board. The "senior" staff both at the port and on board were very rude and uncooperative.

Then to the cruise, food and room/dining/wait staff were excellent. Again "senior" staff were very rude and unfriendly. Guest services were inefficient at best. Seemed like no one knew what was going on. Could ask a question and the response was either a dumbfounded look, or a "let me find that out". How long have they been on this boat doing the same job? I would think they should know what was going on.

Amenities - at minimum I would expect there would be a miniature golf course, and basketball courts. This ship had neither. They had rock climbing wall that was only open certain hours, and shuffleboard and ping pong. Not alot to do for a 9 day cruise where you were on the boat 5 of those days. Entertainment was the same duet in the Centrum and poolside and piano bar. Thought I was going to fall asleep from hearing the same thing day after day. Fortunately we were on the annual cruise taken by the band "The Poets" from Scranton PA and they provided two days of entertainment - one at poolside and one at a private party that livened things up. We had one of our group have his drink package restricted twice in one night only to be told that it wasn't restricted and then have it denied again when he went to the bar. Things were falling apart in our cabin, we were charged for "items from mini bar" for two waters that we never touched but were in one of our cabinets when we got there and when we left, but the gentleman who came to check on them didn't even look in the cabinet, just looked on the counter and saw none so charged us for it. One of our group fell on the deck first day because they were washing the deck and did not have caution placards up. Saw another man fall face first coming through the doors from the deck to inside and a passenger had to ask for ice when the cruise director was right there. Spa people are pushy about buying overpriced products. They did alot of "selling" on this cruise that I was not used to - as soon as you got on the boat, every night at dining time, in Windjammer at breakfast - trying to sell meals at the specialty dining areas. Why do I want to pay to eat 3 nights in a specialty dining area when my meals are included in my cruise price.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin F

Our cabin appeared to be very small compared to other staterooms we passed and could glimpse in to. Usually I have a very restful sleep on cruises, but the beds were not comfortable at all. Air conditioning worked sporadically and when we requested it be checked, the maintenance man told us we broke it. We hadn't even touched it.

Port Reviews

Baltimore

Embarkation is very chaotic and unorganized. Would think they would have better organization of luggage in case it needs to be located. Line was stopped twice for some reason and took unreasonably long to board.

King's Wharf

Expensive port, but very clean and beautiful. We got in late in the day and waves were very nasty, but still alot of fun for those who love to ride the waves. Hamilton is beautiful but I would suggest not to overnight in this port on a sunday because the shops are closed. We got lucky and could watch some of the America's Cup race from the deck of the ship. That was an experience of a lifetime.

Nassau

I thought water was beautiful but beaches were dirty.
