This was our second Scenic cruise. I always try to book well ahead to get the right cabin and this time managed to get a Panorama Suite and boy was it with it. Very spacious and spectacular views from behind, just a bit disappointing that rivers Garonne and Gironde were nothing to write home about, no scenery and very dirty. Dining was adequate but not spectacular, no sign of any seafood at all which was strange. The chef (Jerome) was so full of his own importance that he seemed to disregard the fact that his clientel should have been his main concern, his cooking of breakfast eggs was a prime example, he used a silly spatular and managed to break them every morning. The entertainment on board was very poor apart from one night a duo came on board and they got everyone dancing, the rest was vet unentertaining. The shore excursions were excellent and very informative, we visited various Chateau's and had some excellent wines, also attended dinner in a beautiful chateau whilst being serenaded by classical music. The service aboard was good but not exceptional, we had a butler to look after us in the cabin (Bura) he was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Mandy who was the ship's co-ordination, was another star, she looked after everyone, made sure we were all where we should be and entertained us with her humour, well done Mandy!

All in all we enjoyed the trip and met some nice people, but value for money, maybe not. would we return? Certainly to Bordeaux a lovely clean and easy city but not on these two rivers.
